JAMA Design and Drafting is an Edmonton based full-service Residential Designer offering design and drafting services in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
We have over 25 years of experience in the design industry, having helped customers bring their ideas come to life. Our passion and dedication to our craft have produced excellent designs of custom homes, estate homes, acreages, single family homes, multi-family homes, infill projects, garden suites and home renovations.

Our Design Process
INITIAL MEETING
• Discuss the project size, type and scope, and check lot suitability
PRELIMINARY DESIGN PHASE
• Preliminary drawings are created showing layouts, elevations and sections, features, elements in more detail.
• Drawings are sent to client for review and approval
WORKING DRAWING PHASE
• Working drawings are now proceeded
WORKING DRAWING APPROVAL
• Drawings are finalized then reviewed and approved by client for Building Permit application (by Client)
CONSTRUCTION PHASE
• After receiving Building Permit Approval, the house is now ready for construction.
Our Pricing
A. House Design Drafting Fee (Floor Area above 1200 sq. ft.)
- $0.85/ sq. ft. Finished floor area (above ground).
- $0.75/ sq. ft. Finished basement area (underground).
- $0.75/ sq. ft. Garage
B. Renovation & Additions
- $1.50/ sq. ft. to draft the As-Built floor plan
- $250 Site visit fee for inspection and measurement
C. 3D Rendering and Animation
* Price to be discussed based on size, scope, and complexity of the project

Jon Maliwat / Principal
Jon is an Experienced Principal with a demonstrated history of working in the Design & Planning industry.
He holds an Architectural CAD Technician Certificate (with Honours) from Digital School Technical Design College in Edmonton, Alberta. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Architecture program from the University.
He has over 25 years experience in Architectural Design, Interior Design/ Space Planning and Construction and is proficient in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Lumion, and Adobe Photoshop among others.
